Rain- Bows & Bobbles

Two of my favourite soft toys designers have just brought out a new range of handmade products embellished with a just a touch of colour. Jess Quinn's small printed Molly Dolly are all sporting lovely felt party hats, and Severina Kids' large 100% organic cotton cats are wearing eco-felt coloured collars.

A new trend? A nice one if it is.

High Five #33

I first spotted the work of Danish illustrator and designer Sofie Børsting in Karin's beautiful online shop Manos. In fact, I liked her zoo colouring book so much that I included it in my picks in the current issue of Babiekins.

Sofie has since collaborated with another notable Danish kids' shop, Mimi's Circus, to create a sweet, eye-catching poster for children ( am I too old I wonder? It really is quite special...), which they are both selling alongside her colourful, contemporary animal and bird designs.

Given the number of stockists carrying Sofie's modern illustrated products in Scandinavia and beyond, I would say that she is definitely one to watch in the future. Keep an eye on her blog & portfolio for new designs and developments, and perhaps peruse one of her two shops to purchase something for your little ones (the postcard sets would look great framed!).

Oh, and if you're like me and love colour & pattern, you can also follow Sofie Børsting on pinterest.

Enjoy!

Blog Love: El Hada de Papel

There are so many lovely craft activities for kids on this trilingual (German, English and Spanish) blog that I had a hard time choosing just a few to share today.
Suffice to say that Hannah, Noah and Hilke's seemingly never-ending stream of poetic and quirky DIYs for kids of all ages should be in everyone's bookmarks. No excuses for being bored now!

N for NanuGraphic

I love the illustrations on these fun, wooden blocks from the Hungarian etsy shop NanuGraphic, discovered via pinterest yesterday.

Not all of designs are really suitable for children (I think I would have been a little frightened of some of the drawings as a child) but this particular set would make a beautiful gift, and would look lovely sitting on my desk.

Bunnies in Blue

Continuing this week's beach theme,
I'd like to share the recent work of textile artist

As always, I am inspired by all the little details,
and would love to play with that

Today

Today was a day of contrasts -
Sea, sun and sand in the morning,
City, coffee and copine in the afternoon.
It's great to feel on holiday in your own town!

Bon Week-end !
